03.01.2009 - CUNY Indoor Track & Field Championship

The annual CUNY Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship took place last Sunday at the Amory Track & Field Center. KCC, as a team, ranked 2nd among the 3 participating CUNY schools (KCC, QCC, Bronx). Some notable performances by KCC Waves were Deandra Nelson, who led Woman's 55 Dash competition in both Preminary and the Final, Robert Harley, who placed 2nd in Men's 800 meter Run (among 22 athletes), and the 1st place in the Men 1600m Relay.

NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Recap

NJCAA Division III Championship: 2/27-3/1

Though losing in the semi-final match against the hosting team, Sullivan Community College, KCC Men's Basketball team pulled off a remarkable victory in the Quarterfinal against the 1st seeded Fashion Institute of Technology. FIT had a record of 28-1 (undefeated within the division) this season, and was ranked #3 in the NJCAA national Pull. KCC has defeated the odds to become the only team within the same division to seize a win from FIT.




KCC's Derrison Anthony (#15) was selected to the All Tournament Team of the Championship.
